In February of 2016, I had the pleasure of taking my father, Geoff Hall to Gallipoli to see where his father had landed, 103 years ago.

In this podcast, Lynn Berry and Margaret Knight set out to crochet a humble 120 poppies to “plant” at the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne for Remembrance Day in honour of their fathers who served in World War II. What started as small gesture of remembrance has grown into a community tribute of respect and remembrance known as 5000 poppies. We then head to Alice Springs to talk to Ted Egan AO about his music and books about World War 1 and his families connection with the war.
